The Woodward Dream Cruise started as a community fundraiser back in 1994. Here we are, almost 20 years later, and it has grown into the world's biggest classic car event – or the world's biggest headache, depending on your point of view. The real strength of the Dream Cruise is its populist format, especially when directly compared to the manicured lawns of California's Pebble Beach that runs on the same weekend.

We’ve also seen the McLarenj P1 on the move in the recent Top Gear with Jeremy scaring himself witless in Belgium as his brain came to terms with the awesome 903bhp at the P1′s disposal on a less than forgiving Spa circuit in damp conditions. Eterniti Motors: a new UK-built luxury SUV (2012)

A new British car company will launch at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show - Eterniti Motors - and its first car will be a luxury crossover. Incredibly, the new bespoke manufacturer will be based in London, where it says it will design and assemble its new top-end cars. The first model, which doesn't have a name yet, will be a crossover in the mould of the Lagonda SUV: a £150,000-200,000 luxury 4x4, based on the mechanicals of a mainstream crossover.
